Mr. Petersen holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. diplomas from the Technical University of Denmark and the Danish University of Business Administration and Economy.

He founded the Germann Instruments companies in 1976, and has since been active in the development, marketing and implementation of GI's test systems for RC structures worldwide.

Mr. Petersen has extensive experience in the application of the test systems, and is frequently lecturing in NDT methods at universities and government or private institutions. He has authored a number of books and papers on the test systems and their applications, and has during the past 20 years received a number of awards for his work in the NDT field.

He is a member of ACI committee 228 on Non-Destructive Testing and ASTM C09.64 Non-Destructive and In-Place Testing, as well as the European RILEM Technical Committee on Non-Destructive Evaluation of the Covercrete.
